About the Role
Work closely with the Camp Director and Summer Program Director to ensure the smooth functioning of camp.
Lead, engage, and mentor the men on summer staff
Assist in the recruitment and selection of male summer staff, ensuring candidates align with camp values and possess the necessary skills and qualities for working with men and boys.
Ensuring male staff are familiar with camp policies, expectations, and the specific needs of male campers.
Ensure all staff receive specific training on working with male campers, including supporting diverse identities, fostering inclusion, and addressing unique challenges and conflicts that men and boys may face.
Offer ongoing mentorship and development opportunities for the men’s staff throughout the camp season.
Conduct regular check-ins with male staff to assess their well-being, performance, and resolve any challenges they may encounter.
Provide direct supervision and support to all male staff members, ensuring they are confident in their roles and responsibilities.
Encourage a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support among staff, ensuring everyone feels valued and respected.
Cultivate a culture of respect, encouragement, and gratitude for summer staff
Love the kids and staff! Model Christ-like love and service to them
Work with the Girls Coordinator to ensure Stream Team is well equipped including scheduling, nightly meetings, and cohort activities.
Precamp responsibilities such as
Ordering shirts, creating electives
Schedules
Bags/water bottle ordering
Cabin pairing/staff pairing
Have FUN!

Required Qualifications
Be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and active in a local church
Be willing to share the Gospel of Jesus with staff and campers
Desired Qualifications
Summer camp experience of 2+ years in a leadership position
Previous experience at Coldstream Christian Camp as a staff or volunteer
A minimum of 1 year of camp experience in a leadership position
Stipend & Reimbursement
Pre-Camp Work: April 6-June 10
Up to 10 hours per week/$12.50 per hour
June 11-July 20
Flat stipend of $1500 (including training)
System can be set up for this position to raise support to supplement your compensation
Payment
You will receive a W2 at the beginning of the next calendar year from Coldstream, for tax purposes. Coldstream uses a payroll system (Gusto) which will include direct deposit. Please note that taxes are taken at a rate based on your tax filing status. Pay will be on the 1st of each month.
Housing & Transport
Housing is provided for the time you spend at camp during training, weekends, and during camp sessions. A travel reimbursement of up to $100 is available to you.
